It happens, sometimes you outgrow your software systems.
That was the case for The Chestnut School Of Herbal Medicine. Back in 2018, they started to look for a new learning management system because they wanted an upgrade, after spending 2.5 years using the LearnDash WordPress plugin for their courses.
That’s when AccessAlly came into the picture.
“We liked the look of it better than Learndash, and that some of the functions, like private notes, were really attractive. We do just love it so much more than what we were using.”
Built-In Integrations Matter
When The Chestnut School of Herbal Medicine hired an outside developer on their original site, that person said, “we have never seen so many plug-ins on one site.”
If your website has too many outside tools to make your membership site work, things can get messy.
Updates in 3rd party plugins can make things buggy and navigation can get really awkward. If your software system does not support the main features that make a great membership, it’s going to be difficult for your students to follow your content.
So when the team at The Chestnut School of Herbal Medicine were talking about our features and said, “Accessally objectives and navigation are a lot better” we were thrilled!
Another really big factor for them switching was the integration with a CRM that AccessAlly has built-in. They wanted something tied together so they could run their drip feeds better.
Now with AccessAlly they are able to achieve better student navigation, allow for uploading assignments (instead of emailing in their projects), and improve the overall attractiveness of their membership.
A Customizable Membership
The Chestnut School of Herbal Medicine also told us that their old software solution “was clunky, unattractive, bad UI, and they weren’t the fastest with customer support.”
They also always get quick responses with AccessAlly (we really pride ourselves on how good our customer support is, our entire client success team are long-time Accessally users – even before joining us!).
When we asked what the number one reason they stick with AccessAlly is, they said the ability to “customize everything like how they wanted to” and how well the integration between AccessAlly tagging and Keap works.
They are also excited to make their member site even more custom with our new add-on, CommunityAlly.
Your Feedback Gets Heard
The Chestnut School of Herbal Medicine purchased CommunityAlly when we first launched the new add-on.
We launched this new feature because we listened to our client’s feedback. We were getting a ton of requests that business owners wanted to add a forum or group aspect within their membership site.
For Chestnut School of Herbal Medicine, this was really important because their students have expressed an interest in getting away from Facebook (where their original community forum was held).
We are also making sure that the right features are getting built by showing clients (like The Chestnut School of Herbal Medicine) new feature mockups and listening to their requests.
So when our clients like The Chestnut School of Herbal Medicine tell us things like, we’re a “really full package way to host an online course” and that they’ve been “happy with the experience overall” – we know that we are on the right track.
